Re Subsonic jacketed ammo

I am surprised no one has answered your question so far. There isnt enough information on your -factory- ammo like who made it. Judging by the velocity, it sounds like it is low enough in pressure but I will not say it is definitely. My Lyman 50 reloading manual suggests staying below 18,000 psi for the Trapdoor. Suggested starting loads, pushing a 500gr. LEAD bullet tend to be in the 1075 to 1150 feet per sec. range so, your ammo sounds likely it is in the correct pressure range. Personally, I would NOT use jacketed bullets. The steel used in these old guns was suitable for soft lead bullets but jacketed bullets will cause more wear.
