511227 is not listed i the SRS databae. I think the PB S.F. may refer to the San Francisco Police Board, which has been the official name for the San Francisco cops spanning the period lat 1870s through 1970s, although San Francisco Police Department is also commonly used. The SF cops got a bunch of S and W Schofields from Benecia Arsenal during one of the frequent labor unrests of late 1800s, so there is a precedent for their obtaining U.S. martial arms. A rod bayonet trapdoor may have been issued any time from about 1895 to 1910. I bet the late and much missed Mitch Lukish would have know, since he worked in bay area cops for decades.
