Re Serial number first trapdoor info request

There is no surviving usage information on serial number 29657. That number in in the midst of production change between carbines and rifles, and it is not even possible to speculate as to where this one went. The three clicks and serrated trigger are later style parts which suggest that this has had some parts changed, or perhaps the serial number is missing a digit. At one point, all rifles and carbines under 50,000 were called in to be replaced by improved models, and the old guns were broken up and many parts reused with the receivers sold as scrap. In the subsequent hundred plus years many of those receivers have been rebuilt into shootable guns, although they lack the collector value of a totally unaltered rifle.
