Re 1866 trapdoor carbine amp 1873 carbine

There is no such thing as an 1866 carbine. You have either a cutoff rifle, or have mis-identified something. No 1873 carbines were made in 1870, of course. What is the serial number As to brass and dies for .50-70, Google will be your friend.
