Sounds legit to me. Keep in mind though, that Bannerman and his ilk had tons of virtually unused parts and great creativity in assembling them into complete firearms. Who knows what Springfield Armory may have swept up from out of the way corners and sold off as scrap, which could later be stuck together- either as a totally regulation model, or in obviously bizarro mixed breed combinations.
