I am sorry that I am not familiar with all the terms. You are correct I am talking about the part of the breech block that the barrel screws into. If the threads on the barrel are called tenons that is what are tapered so that the barrel screws easily onto about half the receiver threads. PThe serial number of the BB that I am trying to use is 369426 which I think was from 1887. The cracked receiver had no serial number but only the letter H on the underside so I suppose a quotfradulentquotmanufacture. The barrel has the markings PC over LGC. I wire brushed the barrel threads or tenons so they are clean but could only wipe out the receiver. PI truly appreciate all your help.
