John Thank you. A lot of experience is clearly in play with your assessment. I had thought that perhaps for surplus parts the First In - Last Out inventory practice may have been at work, but hadnt an idea there were other examples of a such a delay before first assembly. For what its worth, Im something of a Martini-Henry collector and can say that the FILO stores system was the general practice at the RSFA Enfield Lock Armory and the Weedon Arsenal.
