K- Dick should immediately say "YES! Thank you very much!! and give you free copies of his books, free beer for life, and many other things.

You and Dick may have problems communicating about "tables, sheets, views" but since you already understand all that, you can design what Dick needs, plug in 50 or so different guns, and play with it a bit to see if how it works.

Dick does not need to know or understand how the magic happens, just what it can do for his data to make it easy to used.

For example, while most people thumb thru the 4 printed SRS volumes searching for a number, I have mine as Acess database files, so I can sort by serial number, model/type, of usage info, or better yet, sort by two of those fields. You can do similar with the Branum index if you two can
