Paul, The problem is more than that H-R simply made the cam shaft ROUND thru the cam. Then ran a single set screw up against the shaft. If they had easily put a flat spot on the shaft beneath the screw and a drop of loctite on the threads this would have never happened. Yes I agree snapping the block shut and recoil against the cam surface do contribute to the problem. If you remove the set screw carefully and mark the shaft at the contact point remove and put a flat on the shaft then obtain another socket head same as original place a drop of loctite on screw and run second screw against the first and it does the job without modification of any sort. Some have gone so far as to replace the entire block assembly with an original block assembly. Pedersoli made the shaft SQUARE and thus not a problem for their rifles. I understand someone obtained the required Pedersoli parts and with some work made them fit. Hope this helps. Tom
