Re: C&R license

I had one for about 20 years. Back about ten years ag0, I decided that the fascists(dems, progressives, etc.) were going to be in charge. While I do not know of any one with a C&R being visited by the BATFE, the law allows that. I had mine back when Enfields, Mausers and the like were cheap, after the change in 1986 era gun laws. Now that prices have shot up (no more $49.95 Enfields-now they are $400 and up) I, personally don't need such a license. If the fee is still $30, plus the cost of fingerprinting, etc., and you are really into collecting 1898-1946 arms, then you can really save money on FFL dealer fees. If you are seeking an H&R officers model your C&R will cover that. Going across state lines to gun shops or shows are also a plus. Just keep your bound book updated for all 1898-1946 buys. Good luck and good hunting (just don't tell your wife!).
