Very interesting reading relating to historic 1873 Carbines

Posted by Michael H. Collins on Thursday, 26 June 2014, at 11:04 p.m.

Has anyone here ever looked at If not, you'll enjoy what he has listed and the related descriptions and articles. I cannot comment on their validity but it's fun stuff. I'd love to have the experts here take a look and comment. For example, I wasn't aware that after the Battle at the LBH a gunsmith at Fort Robinson modified some 20 surviving 1873 Springfield Carbines with 1873 Winchester butt plates and cleaning rods. Anyway,he seems to have some answers. Please tell us what you think. You know who you are.Enjoy. Sincerely, Michael H. Collins
