There was a production change after the first run. Improvements in manufacture were made & a second set of serials numbers issued. Second run OM's seem to be in favor over the 1971 run. Both of my OM's are 1972/later production. That being said, IF loads are kept to the maximum safe levels for the original, you should not have any problems.

It has been reported that the block will open on firing. The fault is in the way the cam latch hooks up in the rear recess. Various reports of the cam screw coming loose & the latch being "out of time". One fix is to pin the cam. There is info on the Web & cures to alleviate problems with the latch.

I paid a grand for the first one NIB, & only $660.00 for the other, also new unfired. They are great fun to shoot & my Grandson loves them.
