Re: Little Big Horn Carbines?

Hi Dick,

I am still waiting to hear back from the gentleman (I did return his call, but as of this moment - - 07:50 EDST on Saturday - - we have not connected). Yes, I had found 1902, 1921, 2085, and 2107, none of them very close, i.e., no cigar, but two of them (2085 with an 05-16-1876 date and 1902 with an 05-25-1875 date) were identified to the 10th Cavalry. And 2107 was associated with (as in "stolen") the 6th Cavalry. 1921 was listed as being SPAR #6037 in the SA Museum collection. As soon as I close this posting I am going to send his name and phone number to you via E-Mail, if that would be OK with you. He specifically mentioned the gun being in "very good condition" - - with no further descriptive modifiers.

Thanks for picking upon my posting, and I am sure that he would appreciate whatever help he can get.

With very best regards,
