M66 Rifle
This M66 three band rifle is in excellent condition with a near pristine bore which is very bright and flawless.
The stock has a few service dings, but it is in excellent condition. The rifle is one of the rifles built or
repaired by Springfield after the Franco-Prussian War. The stock only has the stock inspector's mark.
The cartouch and firing proof are missing. Springfield made/repaired about 5000 M66 rifles after the F-P war
and some are marked and some are unmarked. The cutter marks from the rifling
machine are very clear.
The mechanics are excellent and the rifle
appears very sound.
