Dick...I was just wondering.... Was the model 1868-70 hammer made by milling down an existing 1863 type hammer? I understand that the government was very frugal post war, and the 1865-66 hammers were made special for the first, and second conversions. The Models 1868-70 hammers look so much like the Model 1863 I have to ask. Thanks in advance. Dave
