I have a 1866 second Allyn conversion with a 1864 lock plate full length barrel and three bands. The breach block hinge has C.A. stamped on it. I have seen other versions with both City of Chicago Police, C.C.P. stamped at the base of the breech block at the trap door opening and C.A. on the hinge plate. This one is unique in that it only has C.A.Stamping. C.A. is also stamped on top of stock below the last screw fastening the the barrel to the stock. There is also a C stamped on top of the stock before the buttplate. Additionally the is also a C stamped on the butplate and the number 45 below it. Can anyone help me with some insight or verification. I also has the ESA catrouche on the bottom of the stock bemind the triger guard fastening screw. All I can surmise so far is the this appears to be one of either 296 or 102 the were intitally given CCP but recieved only the C. A. stamp. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
