If you are referring to published photos available on line, please give us some clues where to find them so we can take a look at them.

A verbal description of a trigger guard with sling swivel removed is pretty slim evidence that the same gun might be shown in three different photos, including a transformation from carbine stock to cut down stock.

Folks here tend to be serious researchers with a lot of experience and have seen enough wishful thinking, dealer exaggerations and unverifiable assertions that we tend to be very skeptical.

Jim Supica, curator of the NRA museum, has an excellent oresentatin "Pieces of History" on the OGCA website which I highly recomend for anyone confronting the dilemma of a purported historical firearm.
