Re: Geronimo's last Springfield

Posted by skeptical on Friday, 6 September 2019, at 2:21 p.m., in response to Re: Geronimo's last Springfield, posted by Lawrence F. Nirenberg on Friday, 6 September 2019, at 1:52 p.m.

"ALL THE PHOTOS that you say aren't there in fact are. It only requires a little effort on your part."

Skeptical does not mean that I am saying nay, it is saying I would like to make my own judgement on the evidence, and I have reviewed all the Geronimo and Natche photos as my library is quite extensive on the IW era including and primarily focusing on the southwest.

The PHOTOS I am referring to are the PHOTOS of "YOUR" rifle so we can make a judgement on whether the rifle matches the ones in the 1880's photos you are trying to match it to.

As you said the 1866 is in the summer 2006 Winchester Collectors Magazine, but as you have to be a paid member and log in to view the issue, and since my area of interest is not in Winchester arms I will not be joining.

I, we, did not seek you out, you came here, so providing some help is, in my opinion, not asking too much, but maybe I am off base here?
