Dick, it may be a spelling error. I used to see small paper packets that were unmarked that had the two "gibs" and two slider screws in it. However, that was back in the 1970's. I have a set of "gibs" for sale on the web site. Their purpose, according to the armory, was to keep the slider from lateral motion when the carbine was taken in or out of the boot.
