I did not (but should have) enlarge the photos as I skimmed through them. Something has been done around the sight base - and, I've never seen that exact "damage" before. It COULD have been a repair, but it also could have been Bubba.

Some guns you have to actually handle, and that is definitely one of them. Those photographs are WAY short of ideal for answering any questions. Brings to mind a certain late person from Las Vegas who was, if nothing else, a MASTER of the teaser pic, knowing EXACTLY where to crop them.

I also note that the trigger is post-1883. Again, that COULD have come with the stock, or, it could be from Bubba's parts bin.

There is NO way in hell I would pay anywhere close to $6100 unless ALL issues were COMPLETELY resolved. It COULD just be a carbine receiver - the rest of the parts are easy enough to find if one is patient. I do not know the seller, and that is not one of my preferred sites (don't ask why, it just isn't).
