Shortly after I first signed up with them I had a $400 item lost in shipping and they paid promptly with no hassles. That was about 20 years ago, and I have never heard of any problems with them.

Not like "homeowners" policies which are nearly impossible to collect form, especially for guns or collectibles. Or, trying to collect from UPS if they lose/damage stuff.
