Re: Thanks (and serial number data)!

I recently fell heir to the index card file of Richard Branum of Houston TX, a lifetime trapdoor collector, no longer (91) active in the hobby. At 110 to the inch, there would seem to be about 9,000 serials. Some, of course, will also be found elsewhere, but it should make a nice supplement to the SRS (Springfield Research Service) books. Now that I have found drawers to house them, my first task will be to look for additional numbers of any rare models which I may have missed in my book.

After that, I will (as time permits!) be able to look for other numbers for those seeking some info on the previous history/ownership/features of their gun. I suspect a few of today's "carbines" may turn out to have once been rifles - that sort of thing. Many of these are observations - NOT "official" records - but were made by a man who is honest and SUPER knowlegeable. It should prove interesting!
