1884 rifle barreled receiver.

Posted by Steven Rinde on Wednesday, 16 May 2018, at 9:06 p.m.

Hello all. Recently purchased an 1884 Springfield rifle, made in 1889, from a shop out east. It arrived and have discovered it was at some point demilled by torch cuts at rear of the chamber. Other than the barrel most likely the receiver and extractor it is otherwise an fairly decent rifle. Bore is very nice. Seller will not respond to emails, and am exploring options. Anyone out there have a barreled receiver that would interchange for sale ? Would really rather have a shooting example. Thanks.
