Great meeting you, Arnee! Did you see the $4,500 Model 1866? Quality was about a &1,200, at best. I did pick up a $900 First Model Allin 1865 breechblock-it needs a latch but as the rest of the rifle came with it, it was worth it (bad joke). I had gone about 100 feet from my friend's table and ran into the young man walking towards me. That was his asking price for the rifle and I did not quibble. He knew the value was higher but wanted to move it and for it to go to a good home (really). A few very minor problems such as the left flat opposite the lock worn down or sanded but for a good condition FMA, well worth the price. Slow show on Sunday but Saturday was best due to meeting you and your lovely wife and then finding the rifle.
