Anything you get from Al will be extremely well described and very fairly priced. Get the M1870 now!
You can come back for a nice M1868 when one shows up. Might get a M1866 rifle, M1869 cadet, and a Ward Burton, and a Sharps conversion, and a Spencer conversion just to complete the family portrait.
Oh, and get one of Dick Hosmer's books on the .50-70s, they are an excellent reference. If you get both of the Frasca books you will discover that you need a dozen or more .45-70s as well.
Welcome to the trapdoor therapy group.
