Well, that answers that. So then, it is POSSIBLE that ANY number in the "general star range" (say 145K-210K) could swing either way, so far as an SRS look-up is concerned. Apparently there are still no duplicates. We also believe that the starred receivers had all marks stamped at the same time (i.e. they were intended to be "special" from the git-go, not "surcharged" at some later date). I may have been the first person to point this out - probably about 30/35 years ago, now.

As an aside here, in performing the search (which I finally did with key words) it would be nice if the date choice box could be expanded to include more years than 1999-2011. It will not let you free-lance and type in the year you want. Maybe that is a simple change?
