Technically, yes*, but to my perverted sense, the only TRUE M1877 carbine is one with a narrow receiver, from about 75000 to 96300 (receiver change) and bearing an originally installed M1877 (pretty scarce) rear sight. Anything after that, having an M1879 or M1884 rear sight is common, and confusing because of the lengthy period of block overlap and the fact that block marking and sight change points are hopelessly blurred. Just my view, not shared by all.

*actually, your number (from 1888) really should be an M1884, but there is no way to tell for sure. What IS a M1884 carbine?
