Yes, but I do not recall where. The buckles are fairly easy in at least one regard. The Mills stamping on the fakes is bold and well-centered, while on originals it is spidery-thin and often runs off the edge. That alone will save you 98% of the time. Next, recall that the VAST majority (if not all) of the genuine military plates of the period, had "US", not some hokey graphic.

Plates are NOT my specialty, and some of the "non-US" examples may have a basis in fact. I welcome correction here so that I may learn, too.
