Re: F-p M66 Rifle

A possible explanation of F-p M66 rifle. In the Springfield newsletter Vol. 1. Issue 4 pg.36 Ed Hull "mentioned that Schuyler,Hartley and Graham assembled a number of M66 rifles". Since the rifle in question has no script N proof and no sanding, it is a candidate for a type 3 M66 as described on pg. 36 with new recalled parts and "new" civil war stock. H.S.Hill would have inspected and accepted. I doubt S.A. would have given their proof stamp to S.H.G. So then, was the rifle proofed?!
