Al. do you recall when the practice of stamping the final "P" began? The basic marks show up around 43000 and run for a period without it, then they are enlarged, THEN the last P shows up, around 1877, I guess. FWIW, the "T" on my (SA, not aftermarket) sporting rifle 51789 is WELL clear of the receiver. Have not yet found my 5-groove barrel.
