Thanks Dick! My preference would be an 1866 - budget permitting. I have never sought out pristine examples but have always preferred good honest wear. Also a while back you mentioned in one of your posts that you had a krag that had been linked to the boxer rebellion. Due to the low number of US troops at the legation in Peking would make it rarer than a LBH carbine. Again thanks - your books are on my christma list!
