I'm hoping to have something out within a couple of months.
Text is "done". Photos are "done". Formatting of the 19 technical chapters is "done". The "front end" is "done". The cover is "done". Another week or two will see the back end (glossary, bibliography, possibly some tables) done as well - then comes the moment of truth - submission to the computer geeks.
Will my work pass their layout/printing requirements/technicalities? If so, full speed ahead. If not, I've no idea how long it might take to make it right.
One of my purposes in posting the preview was to see if the dimensions, etc. were OK. It was "accepted" within seconds, so I guess that is a good sign. One of the best features of POD (print on demand) is that you can constantly update your book, and once you get the framework approved you can tweak the fine points. As careful as I have been there are several typos, etc. that I missed in that one chapter. Wish I had another pair of eyes!
