Sorry, no "problems" there, but, it got overlooked. All normal except marks noted as being on right side of barrel - that area is normally blank. Did not find any info on that number - so - no usage data is available. It was PROBABLY used by state troops during the SAW period. E 9 38 is definitely a rack number - normally seen as 9 E 38 (regt./company/rifle). Common letters on barrel top are "A" and "R"; don't remember ever seeing "I"
