The plain garden variety .45-70-405 load found almost everywhere is loaded for the older rifles. Anything marketed/labeled for "Cowboy Action Shooting" will be OK. Unquestionably, the best accuracy can only be obtained by loading your own.

Just stay away from anything labeled "High Velocity" or "suitable for M1886 Winchester or M1895 Marlin rifles".
