Re: 1873 carbine

New to me - closest known are 34623 and 34714, both attributed to Troop G of the 10th Cav., which of course means NOTHING since this is not horseshoes. It is however smack in the middle of the third (and last) production block.

As to the value of a severely refinished gun - BIG turn off for me, but, your mileage might vary. Other than the refinish, are all the parts of the period, or does it have some replacement bits (further degradation in value depending on the answer).
