Appreciate the helpful reply, wanted to say thanks for the info, which I repeat below:

I would be interested in where you found info on "data" for serial numbers. Am aware that really very few can be traced.

My description may seem as if I know much, but am learning as I go, finding it a bit difficult to follow various "experts" who's statements don't quite agree.

For instance, just found the Buffington sight actually adjust out to 2400yds.

Anyhow, thanks for unexpectedly quick reply... and should have said I found your site most helpful of all...
