First things first. There is no such Model. (1876) All Springfield's are either a Model 1873 or 1884. True, there are variations in refinements that are keyed to a date, but still just two Models.

It's very hard to give you a value for your rifle? here. Go to Gunbroker. com or one of the other gun auction sites to see what others are hoping to get for their offerings. The market is very soft right now for standard weapons.

Check the ammunition you have to see if it is rated as "For Cowboy Action" and is not intended to be use in modern weapons. If it is a Black Powder load you are O.K.
