John S. First, Thank you for the info. I collected TD,s from 1960 to the late 70,s then quit. I,v started collecting again and am overwhelmed with all the new data on TD,s thanks to people like the late Robert Hill, Dr. Frasca and Hosmer. And many others. After many hours of research I have answered my own dumb questions.

The carbine is what some people call a 73/84. M73 carbine stock and M1884 receiver and barrel. On this website Dr Frasca sold one like it with a mid 300 M serial number range, also, I found at least 2 more on GB, They may have been made for the Span-American war. I reread Hill's and Dr Frasca;s books. I will follow up on this subject. Did find SRS book 1(pages loose) and book 3. $500, boy have things changed. He had book 4 for %1000, he still has it, not me. thanks for your help.
