Carbine 343204

Posted by Gary Wining on Monday, 27 February 2017, at 5:32 p.m.

breach block is low: dated 1873, Buffington rear sight with a c, and a m90 sight protector. receiver and barrel is model 1884? Excellent condition Stock has a butte plate with a ribbed door/ cavity is of keyhole type. I think the trigger plate is m64, smooth trigger. Cartouche is sharp and all I remember is 18xx as I looked at 5 Tds and discounted this one until after I got home. Could I please ask the following? Is the carbine a SA conversion for the SPN-American war? If so, is it an acceptable variation? What would we expect to see for a date in the cartouche? The store with the TP is 100 miles South and closed on Monday. Otherwise I would call and get the date. Leaving at 5:00Am in morning to take a 2nd and maybe buy.

Thank you
