Pays to inspect any arm before use. Seems a simple idea but often overlooked. One local gun shop once sole a single shot Springfield 45-70 rifle with a neat little round wood plug in the stock under the chamber. That is where the lamp cord came out of the rifle. Fired once and the shooter suffered splinters in the left arm and one would think had a nasty flinch after that.Looking down the muzzle it looked fine.
