Well, if the barrel is open all the way through, with a threaded shank, it would be from an 1868 or 1870 model, not an Allin "conversion, per se.

If from an 1868, there should be a serial number on the left side just ahead of the shoulder. If from an 1870, there should not be a number, and the shank would be ABOUT 1.25" long (the 1868 shank is considerably longer).

If it is 40" long (muzzle to tang joint) with an opening milled into the top, then it would be from a Model 1866 Second Allin conversion.
