If you are a extremely talented wood worker you may be able to get the repro stock to fit good. I did one once and never again. It's much easier to purchase a real Springfield stock,either on this sight under classified or there almost always on eBay. The real ones usually cost much less than the S&S and everything will fit. Just stay away from stocks that have major cracks, even if repaired.
