On Dec. 10, 1880, Hartley & Graham obtained "123 Allin Rffles 45 cal with bayts, Metcalf Attachment," from J.W. Frazier. These were shipped to St. Louis dealer E.C. Meacham & Co. Frazier was a NYC dealer in surplus arms, and often bought Springfield parts and whole guns. This record does not state if these rifles were assembled by Frazier, which he often had done, or if they were original rifles.
