The majority of people are unwilling to expend the effort to become truly knowledgeable.

I was even luckier than Fred - I found #62 on Gunbroker, and was the successful bidder at $1800 plus shipping. I felt it was a huge bargain and had been prepared to pay at least as much as what he did. I've seen bog-common 1870-dated specimens in lesser condition for very nearly the same price as I paid for this great rarity. Try to find another - I'd been looking for 45 years!
