Tom, Thanks for the reply. It seems to me though that what todays police are trying to match is similar (though not the same due to age and weathering) to what you would find on the LBH battlefield, ie bullets from bodies and those stopped by furniture and walls (at least somewhat similar to what you would find on a battlefield) The comparison slug could as easily be fired into a water tank from a trapdoor as from a nine mil or 38 special. Some recovered slugs would be worthless for comparison but some in theory at least should be identifiable. RB
