Check the gun Auction sites for comparable rifles for what people are asking/hoping to get. We cannot possibly give you an accurate value for your firearm.

Your receiver was made in the second qtr. of 1882. Last number for that qtr. is 179736. The Cartouche on the left side of the stock should have a date to match. The way receivers were handled, it is possible to have a serial number in the year range and still not be finished till 1882, but I doubt it. If not something is amiss. Where did you obtain the date you quote?
