Again, assuming the Benet primed case was fired and then stuck in the chamber. A hole was cut, punched or gouged in the face of case head large enough to thread a leather or cord thong the length of the barrel. Which was then knotted and pulled backward into the stuck case mouth and then to the case head, when jerked the thong would act as a ramrod removing the case. The case would then be discarded and the thong would be used for some other expedient user. Then the carbine would be the same again as any other unfired one and be loaded and fired the same. The stuck case was gone as well as the thong.
