Re: 1879 tests of three round cartidge.

Go to Google Books and enter Annual Report of the Chief of Ordnance 1879. When you bring it up, then the sidebox will display that info and you will have to remove it and type in, Merwin and Hulbert (if my spelling is correct). That will narrow it down to the appropriate page(s). Note the page number, for if you download, via the Google Book site, it will not match. This is due to GB starting their pagination from the cover and includes every blank page, etc., throwing off the page numbers (i.e. book page 911, may come out to 942, when planning to copy). It sound more difficult than it is.
