Re: B H 1874 Expedition

I asked once about the first model Allin, and of a center fire firing pin (bar/anvil and Benet) and thought the casings (though not too many) I was finding, were of that fire arm. You stated that that fire arm (.58 Allin) was in rim fire. Not having one or seeing one, I take your expertise on it, as I do not know. But I do know I have about 10 from one location, .58 cal. casings in Benet and Bar anvil, that were fired in a .58 cal. fire arm, unbeknown to me now and the few bullets I have recovered from same said site, are of .58cal. 3 lands, 3 grooves, and are not a mini ball and appear to have been from a cased cartridge. I forget the grains, but could find them and weigh them.
