The Buffington sight is masterpiece of engineering. Paper plates at 200 yards are in serious trouble. My '88 will cover the plate all day long. Bear in mind that these were NOT target rifles. They were not intended for "aimed" shots at a stationary target. They were generally fired in volleys at an enemy that was on the move. Mostly running AT YOU. If the shooter is expecting Quarter size groups at 200yds. and beyond, he or she should get my Scope Setup I sell on Gunbroker.com. Ernie B.
